Follow these steps to apply
STEP 1
Call To Book an Application Time
Call 403-324-4335 to book an application time with one of our volunteer screeners.
Application booking line hours:
Mon-Wed 12-4PM
Thursdays 12-3pm
STEP 2
Complete Your Application
Our volunteer screeners will call you back during your appointed application time slot.
Have your personal information ready. We will ask some personal questions such as:
- Proof of residency in the Strathmore and the Wheatland County
- Income and basic expenses including rent/mortgage, utilities, childcare and medical.
We understand some of the questions can be difficult to answer, but rest assured we ensure your confidentiality. The Wheatland County Food Bank determines need based on income, expenses, family size and your current situation.
STEP 3
Receive Approval
Once you have been approved, pickup instructions and time will be provided.
Pick-ups are done on Fridays at the Food Bank.
Unfortunately we cannot offer delivery services at this time.
STEP 4
Pick Up Your Hamper
When you come to pick-up your hamper, remember to bring two pieces of ID for each adult (18+) and one piece of ID for each child (under 18). Acceptable ID includes: Driver’s license, Heath Care Card, Passport, Birth Certificate, Alberta ID Card, or immigration paperwork.
You may apply for a hamper once every 30days/maximum of 8/yr.
